Cutting Your First Film is a hands-on editing masterclass where you take a real project from raw footage to a finished cut. From Monday to Friday, we work full-time hours, 10am to 6pm, as we edit Season 1’s Wherever the Wind Blows inside DaVinci Resolve.
You’ll learn how to bring footage into the software, organize it properly, build your first timeline, shape the story, refine performances, clean up audio and create pacing that feels right. A live feed will run all week so people can drop in and watch the film take shape in real time.
Special guests will stop by during the sessions to talk about film theory, editing choices and the deeper art of storytelling.
By the end, you won’t just understand editing. You’ll have cut a film.
Les participants qui complètent l’ensemble de la semaine recevront un Certificat d’attestation SCRIPTFEST.
Monter votre premier film est une maîtrise pratique du montage où vous prendrez un véritable projet, des images brutes jusqu’à la version finale. Du lundi au vendredi, nous travaillons à temps plein, de 10 h à 18 h, alors que nous montons Wherever the Wind Blows, Saison 1, dans DaVinci Resolve.
Vous apprendrez à importer les séquences dans le logiciel, à les organiser correctement, à construire votre première ligne de temps, à façonner l’histoire, à affiner les performances, à nettoyer l’audio et à créer un rythme qui fonctionne. Un flux en direct sera diffusé toute la semaine afin que les gens puissent passer et observer le film prendre forme en temps réel.
Des invités spéciaux se joindront aux séances pour discuter de théorie du cinéma, de choix de montage et de l’art plus profond du récit.
À la fin, vous ne comprendrez pas seulement le montage.
Vous aurez monté un film.
